How do I delete photos from my wallpaper added (wallpapers) list?

I went to my list wallpaper to change my wallpaper, and I noticed that all the pictures I personally added to the "My images "folder somehow ended up in my list of wallpapers. How can I remove them from the list without at the same time be removed the "My Pictures" folder? I do not want them in my list of wallpapers. Also, is there a way I can prevent any of my personal photos to be added to the list of wallpapers again from now on? I use Windows XP Professional …

I had the same problem, if you create a new folder on your desktop (I named mine "my pictures") and move all your images in this case (open my pictures, click Edit, click Select All, and drag a new folder) then in the future make all your news photos in this folder does not appear on your list more. If you go into your Windows folder and delete all files in the future that are stored in your folder My images appear on the list. Good Luck

What causes the “star effect” glare of bright lights?

When you look at a bright light through a window (or lense), what causes that light to appear to give off a star-like glare?

I’ve been searching the internet for the answer, but I haven’t found much because I am not quite sure what that phenomenon is called. And so far, all of the keywords I have tried using haven’t provided much help.

The only thing I really know about it is that, in photography, if you take a picture of a bright light using a small aperture, you can capture this effect. However, I noticed that you can also observe this effect when looking at a bright light through a window (specifically a windshield).

I want to figure out how/why this happens because I am trying to work out an art project (involving glass panels) in which I may want to intentionally use this effect.

Any help would be appreciated. I think that perhaps microscopic imperfections in the glass may have something to do with it, but I am not sure.

Thanks!

Lens Flare can cause streaking. Imperfections in the lens cause the different frequencies of light to bend at different angles causing abberations or iperfections in the image.

Diffraction will cause points of light to take the general shape of the apperture placed in front of the lens. This effect is well used in photography .

If you view lights through a piece of window screen you will see crossed lines from each point light source you view. You can rotate the screen and rotate the crosses. It you take two pieces of screen at 45degrees to each other you will see twice as many lines ( 4 point crosses will becom 8 point crosses)

You can buy special filter attacments for SLR camera to do the same thing. Pros who use medium format cameras with Matte boxes sometimes use custom cut outs infront of the lens to make shapes such as hearts circle a candle flame in a wedding picture etc.

The effect you see through a windshield is mosy likely caused by a combination of diffraction and flare. Water droplets create apatures and oil/dirt film causes flare and refraction.

There is any privacy in Gmail?

Before the presidential elections I wrote an email to my son exposing my personal political opinions. Soon after click “send” at the upper edge of the window appears link, that was bitter and caustic replay at what I wore to my son.
A few weeks ago my son sent me a picture of his wife in the hospitalbed showing her face very swelled caused by allergy to something. At the same time at the left side of the window frame I read several advertisements for allergies.
Two days ago a friend move to her new home and described the architecture of the building,At the same time at the side of the frame shows some advertisements for construction like materials plans, etc
This e-mail seems more like an open letter or blogger.
Where is de sacred privacy if everybody know of what I received and write
My computer seems to me that is vell protected.
I have Windows Vista Premium==AVG== Malvarebytes-antimalware==Windoe Defender==Antiphishing
I Will appreciate any advise about this.

Gmail does scan your email and produce ads which are related to the content of the messages. This is part of the normal operation of Gmail. So this is not a virus or any sort of unanticipated security breach. This is how Google tries to make money so that Gmail can be free.

While Google’s computers do “read” your email, that information is not shared with any people. It’s not posted on the web, for instance, so it’s not like a blog, as you had feared. To learn more, follow the link in my source, below.
