I take long XP because I had a lot of older games, I do not think would be this. I tried the beta and RC premium home, but it is the best yet. I saw many bad reviews, but the Most are due to hardware problems. Spoil yourself and do a little research before you buy and read the license agreement if you decide to buy Version. the OEM 64bit version installed on this machine without problems.I must download a graphics driver, but no biggie.

This operating system runs smooth and easy on the eyes. I'll update this if I find any problems, but so far it is impeccable. The only thing is the layout, if your using XP, you have to do some research to find things

My computer has been corrupted and has recently crashed hard. I was running XP Professional, and rather than clean the disk and reload the XP software, I chose to upgrade to Windows 7 Pro. 7 many new features, and I like it. It will be even better if I get used to it. When I reconnected my device, 7 and automatically research to reload the new drivers, I have not had to reinstall the drivers for each printer. A word of caution: it does not play Nice older versions Windows if you want to send attachments. It must be in pdf format will not open for the recipient. I think there is a patch that addresses this problem, but I have not taken the time to find yet. Overall, I'm glad I bought it.

I have long been Windows XP user and have been using computers since DOS. I'm quite used to XP and has certainly not want to touch Vista with all its DRM restrictions. I tried Apple's Snow Leopard and it was OK, but an operating system is an operating system (like Quicken and Office for Apple Leopard as it does under XP or Windows 7). It really is the robustness and usability operating system I like. If you started on Apple and Apple applications and are used for this, I think it is a great system. Unfortunately, all my applications are based on Windows and I'm tired of Bootcamp, Parallels and VMWare. Anyway, I thought I'd give a shot of Windows 7. I decided to go with the 64-bit on my gaming system tailored for that I can access 4 GB of RAM above as well as replacing a 10-year-old XP operating system.
I like the interface of Windows 7, but it takes a little getting used to. The operating system feels polished and is widely debugging. I do not think Microsoft could handle another failure Vista. Operating system itself is relatively bug free and does not crash for me yet. He has handled everything I throw at it so far. Windows 7 appears like to communicate on the network with other Windows 7 computers more than he likes to talk to other XP machines. When I even managed to get my mixed network (XP and 7) works, but it took a bit of tweaking (different network protocols).
I made a clean install on top of XP Pro installation. Everything went perfectly and I had no problem at all. A cool thing that has past, Windows 7 has seen the XP Pro operating system, is a directory Windows.old for her, and left all my files intact. Thank you for this! saved me from having to transfer all my files from my backups. On all my XP applications, one does not work Windows 7 or its compatibility modes. Fortunately, Microsoft provides a complete Virtual XP running inside Windows 7. I started the virtual window XP installed my application in XP and I'm back in business, which is a cool feature!
Why only 4 stars?? It is expensive … My recommendation, after 30 years of computer …. If you have a stable system XP, stick with it. When it is time replace your system, chances are you'll probably Windows 7 comes with your new system anyway.

Can I install windows vista operating system on a new pc with linux?
I cant afford a full price pc but would like a more upgradable model. Tescos have some wich have the Linux operating system starting from £139.99 my mom has windows xp operating system at home can I just go ahead and install it should I decide that I will by one of these PC’s. Or is linux a good operating system?
The Pc I have at present will die on me eventually as it is a patriot, one of the pc world specifics. It is running xp but the mother board is dieing.
So price wise it would probably still work out cheaper to by a entry level package with windows microsoft ?
But does the internet show as well as on microsoft?
Linux is a far better OS than Windows but takes a lot of getting used to try it after a while you will love it
