I have a double wide manufactured home in northwest wisconsin and looking for ways to make the windows more weatherproof for winter. I want to put plastic around the outside of the windows and am not sure how to do it with vinyl siding. Do I have to take off the vinyl trim around the window frames? Is it possible without taking off the siding or cutting anything. I can’t put the plastic film on the inside because the old lady says she don’t want the tape peeling off the finish because we tried it last year. do i need to ask the manufacturer how to get the vinyl trim off from around the windows in order to staple the plastic on? Are there other ways?
