I’m trying to integrate my Mac into my workplace. Can it be done, and should it be done?
So I have been using Windows for at least 10 years now, but I have been a newly converted Mac user as of 2 months now. and I love it.
I recently got employed, and I’m looking to pay some money to buy a nice setup for my desk. I already know some of what I want. A nice comfortable keyboard, comfortable wireless mouse, dual widescreen set-up. All that’s left is choosing an OS.
I would hands down choose a Mac if it were that simple but it’s not. My office HEAVILY relies on Microsoft Office. Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook, all of it. The Mac version of Excel does not support Visual Basic, which is pretty important. Does Outlook exist for Mac? My office uses Microsoft Exchange, how would that work with a Mac?
My office also relies on other software, such as PeachTree, etc.
I did just think of something though. what about running Mac on one screen, an using VMware and running XP on the other side? Anyways, comments are welcome.
Yes and Yes.
