is it safe to sleep in my room with new vinyl shades?

we put up vinyl window shades in my room and i was wondering if I was ok to sleep in it tonight. We let it air out for a day but it still has a strong oder. is it harmful?

    The smell reminds me of new plastic toys at christmas when was child it will fade in time.
