Aluminum can be painted Jalousie Windows?
The bare aluminum industry seems so to say least.I wondering if anyone have expereince with them instead of painting the place. Does it look better?
Yes, they can be painted. Dust frames, and then clean with paint thinner, then clean with acetone. Apply an oil-based primer that does not dry quickly. Once completely dry Apply two coats of an oil base semi-gloss exterior paint. Keep windows open during the drying sufficient if the surfaces are not in contact. Do not use any water-based because these styles of windows compress disk when it is closed, and with the plasticizers in paints water base semi-gloss, paint will always stick to itself and withdraw into the scene.
