Which material is better for window replacement – Vinyl or Fiberglass?

We are replacing original aluminum windows. Got a good price on Vinyl. Somebody suggested another company – who uses Fiberglass. Is that a lot more expensive, and is it worth the difference in price – or just a matter of appearance?

    The outer protective layer can be broken or torn.
